There’s A Huge Night Of National League Action Ahead Of Us!

By Sam Elliott

Wednesday marks the ‘one month to go’ point - so Tuesday night’s fixtures take on extra significance.

Three of the National League’s title contenders - and the two FA Trophy finalists - check each other out before Wembley.

Leyton Orient know a good night will do them the power of good as they look to return to the EFL but AFC Fylde are looking strong as well and hope to close the gap to first place to just three points.

Solihull Moors know they need a reaction after their poor show at FC Halifax. A trip to Boreham Wood - themselves not safe from danger - could pose them problems.

At the other end of the table, Aldershot begin what striker Scott Rendell describes as seven cup finals.

They go to Barnet, who will feel only a few more wins will be enough to preserve their status.

Maidenhead will be thinking much the same - and they have a revenge mission in mind.

Back in October they were hit for seven at Havant & Waterlooville and things looked to be going in only one direction for both clubs.

But it didn’t pan out that way. Havant are desperate for the points in what manager Lee Bradbury says is their biggest game of the season.

The Stripes will know a home win sends them nine points clear of trouble.

Dover Athletic sit just above the drop zone but have a welcome five point cushion.

That could all change this evening - they are at Dagenham, who have won only one of their last four.

Ebbsfleet United are very much back in with a play-off shout - Garry Hill says keeping winning and see what happens.

Their re-arranged game with FC Halifax is up next and after rocking one promotion contender in the form of Solihull on Saturday, they want to add another tonight.

Tonight's National League fixtures:
Barnet v Aldershot
Boreham W v Solihull Moors
Dagenham v Dover Athletic
FC Halifax v Ebbsfleet
Leyton Orient v AFC Fylde
Maidenhead v Havant & W
