There's A Big Night Of National League Action Ahead!

By Sam Elliott

There’s no time to put your feet up for many National League sides - 24 teams collide on Tuesday with another evening of fast and frantic action ahead of us.

With a dozen games catching the eye, there’s a lot to look forward to tonight.

Hartlepool United are clocking up the miles lately, having just returned from Yeovil and Eastleigh.

But Dave Challinor knows victory at Barnet could take Pools joint second - while Bees boss Peter Beadle will be fully aware his side must be better than they were on Saturday, thrashed at a Woking side who had ten men for most of the game.

Sutton United are currently sitting second, and are still trying to get their heads around a helter-skelter ride at Wealdstone on Saturday.

They travel to Wrexham who have won back-to-back games, the Dragons move into the play-off places if they make it three in a row.

Altrincham and Bromley both have 12 points on the board and the winner could see themselves into the top seven should results go their way.

There are six National League North matches scheduled later - and it’s a big night in the title race.

Gloucester City have scored 26 times already but the leaders face a real examination of their championship credentials at Gateshead. The Heed polished off Southport 4-1 on Saturday, with Ged Garner getting a hat-trick.

AFC Fylde are seven points off the pace but have games in hand.

They go to in-form Leamington, who are bouncing after two sensational wins over Alfreton Town and Curzon Ashton.

Kidderminster Harriers are having their best season for some time - they are top of the form guide and Russ Penn is desperate to keep the points coming at home to Alfreton.

The bottom two meet in a crucial early-season game but will Kettering Town or Guiseley come out on top?

Chester are at Farsley Celtic, while Darlington could move into the play-off places if they beat Bradford PA and if results go as they want.

Dorking Wanderers will take over the National League South leadership with a win of any size at home to Oxford City.

Jerry Gill says he is keeping the faith at Bath City - despite the Romans sitting second bottom of the table.

A home win over Dulwich Hamlet could be the start of their recovery, while Braintree Town will move off the bottom if they win at Tonbridge Angels.
