There's A Big Night Ahead For Many National League Sides

By Sam Elliott

There’s another intriguing Tuesday night of action in front of us as the battle commences in all three divisions – and in the FA Trophy.

There are two National League fixtures left standing – so where will the points be heading?

Stockport County have games in hand and one of them is at Dagenham.

Jim Gannon’s team are getting themselves back in the groove but the same can be said of the Daggers – despite both sides losing the FA Trophy on Saturday.

Daryl McMahon’s men have taken nine points from a possible twelve and last month beat league leaders Torquay United.

King’s Lynn Town have the opportunity to put distance between themselves and the bottom three but they face a tough night at Eastleigh.

Bradford (Park Avenue) and Chester will try again on Tuesday night and the snow stepped in to cancel their National League North plans at the weekend.

The title race in the National League South is starting to really heat up.

St Albans City have games in hand - and will return to top spot if they return from Dulwich Hamlet with three points.

Two clubs with big ambition need to start collecting wins to get themselves into the promotion places.

Paul Doswell’s Havant & Waterlooville will be back in the play-off places if they get the better of Bath City at Twerton Park.

Maidstone United manager Hakan Hayrettin takes on his former club Braintree Town knowing the Stones need to keep their push going.

Hemel Hempstead still have yet to win at home and Oxford City can strengthen their top seven assault by adding to the host's Vauxhall Road woes.

There’s a big derby on offer as Billericay and Chelmsford City face off.

Meanwhile, Slough Town hope to be inspired by their late, late show against Braintree when inconsistent Ebbsfleet United visit Arbour Park.

There’s plenty of FA Trophy action on offer as well.

Aldershot welcome Solihull Moors to the EBB Stadium, while Torquay United travel to Boreham Wood with the winner facing either Southport or FC Halifax, who also clash on Tuesday.

Sutton United await Bromley or Woking, while Hereford hope for progress when they go to Stamford - and the winner will meet either National League North sides Kettering or Leamington.
