Manager Paul Doswell is on record as saying the talented forward will go far in the game and some Championship club have been said to be watching.
His performances this season have added to the talk surrounding the player but Wright thinks he can progress in the Vanarama National League.
Doswell knows Wright will go on to big things and was thrilled to make public that he will be at Gander Green Lane until 2019.
“We are delighted to announce that Tommy Wright has signed a new two year contract, and we hope to see Tommy keep progressing and enjoying his football with Sutton United,” the manager said.
Doswell also confirmed that key defender Dean Beckwith and forward Adam Coombes are making “good progress” from their injury issues.
The pair will play later today for Sutton’s academy side but are unlikely to be involved this weekend against AFC Fylde.
In an injury update the manager also announced keeper Ross Worner’s knee operation was a success and that he is working with the club’s medical staff on his rehabilitation.
