The Weekend Starts Here! So What's In Store On Saturday?

By Sam Elliott

Matchday 12 is upon us this weekend - so who will be dazzling after a dozen games?

As we build up to the big day, remember you can watch all last weekend’s goals by clicking here.

There really is one only place to start. The winner of this fixture will seriously be sitting pretty!

The National League’s two unbeaten clubs come together and the game of the day couldn’t be much bigger.

Leaders Harrogate play third place Leyton Orient. Will we have only one undefeated side still standing?

Town are top of the form guide while the O’s have taken 14 points from their last six games.

It’s not the only huge game of day. Two other form teams clash in Manchester - and if Boreham Wood boss Luke Garrard said Tuesday’s 4-0 win at Sutton wasn’t a statement, there’s not denying a win at Salford City's Peninsular Stadium would be.

Wrexham will want to keep the pressure on, but how will Sutton United react after that home hammering in midweek?

Red Dragons boss Sam Ricketts says his team have to be ready for back-to-back games on 3G and sitting one point off top spot, they must on on alert for the dropped points which come in Yorkshire.

It’s not just massive games at the top. A glance down sees two teams buried in the bottom four look to come up for air.

Braintree, who won for the first time at Gateshead last time out, face a Maidstone side who have lost their last six matches.

Harry Wheeler needs a result - and the new manager has called on the fans to make the trip across the border to Cressing Road to back their side.

It’s not the only big one at the bottom. Aldershot and Dover - two surprise strugglers - meet and defeat for either brings big problems. Who will come out on top in a game neither can afford to lose?

Barnet were below bar at Leyton Orient last time out and John Still expects better at home to AFC Fylde, who haven’t quite hit the heights away from Mill Farm.

Barrow manager Ian Evatt wants his side’s luck to change and a home game against back in form Maidenhead won’t offer an easy end to their winless run.

FC Halifax have slipped to ninth and Hartlepool United will feel they are capable of adding to their recent issues at the Shay.

Ebbsfleet United need to get over their issues at home. A return of three points from 15 isn’t good enough for demanding Daryl McMahon, whose mood took a turn for the worst after their first-half collapse at Wrexham last weekend.

Havant & Waterlooville haven’t been much better and Lee Bradbury will be desperate for a result in Kent.

Also badly in need of a win are Chesterfield - a first three points since mid-August at home to Gateshead is very much needed.

Bromley have been up and down and they go to Solihull Moors, who want to break into the top seven.
