The Weekend Starts Here! So What's In Store On Saturday?

By Sam Elliott

After an action-packed Bank Holiday offering from the National League heralded the end of August, the table is taking shape with just three points separating first and ninth, writes Tom Scott.

Graham Alexander called on his Salford City team to replicate their home form in their away games.

They visit struggling Dagenham and Redbridge who will be buoyed by some encouraging news off the field this week.

Unbeaten Leyton Orient seem to be hitting their stride. With three wins in four, they host a Chesterfield side who will be fighting to be competitive, according to Martin Allen.

After losing for the first time this season on Monday, it doesn’t get any easier for Sutton United as they host top of the table Halifax.

However, they Shaymen’s away form might give Paul Doswell’s men some hope.

Wrexham’s brilliant start to the season stuttered last time out as they lost to Solihull Moors.

They will look to take advantage of an Aldershot side who have dreadful on the road.

After an inconsistent start, Eastleigh travel up the east coast to face an in-form Harrogate Town.

Simon Weaver’s men drew a blank in front of the BT Sport cameras last week to end a three-game win streak, but will no doubt be looking to reboot their winning form.

John Still may have found the winning formula at Barnet – the Bees will be hoping to pile on the misery for Dover fans.

Holker Street has become somewhat of a fortress for Ian Evatt and Barrow as of late.

Solihull Moors won plaudits for their win against Wrexham over the weekend and will look to crash the party in Cumbria.

Boreham Wood have sparked into life over the Bank Holiday weekend and will look to continue that as they face a Braintree side still looking for their first win.

Ebbsfleet and AFC Fylde clash. The two have been in inspired form and both sit on 13 points in the upper echelons of the table.

Lee Bradbury thought his side looked like they were getting the hang of the National League last week.

Havant and Waterlooville will have a big challenge on their hands against a Hartlepool United side who have improved after a sluggish start to the season.

Maidstone caretaker manager Steve Watt will take charge of the club for the first time after Jay Saunders’ departure this week.

The Stones’ first game in seven years without Saunders sees them travel to Gateshead, who haven’t won in four games.

Bromley have scored seven goals in three games and travel to a Maidenhead side who picked up their first two wins of the season over the Bank Holiday period.
