The Weekend Starts Here! So What's In Store On Saturday?

By Sam Elliott

There are some fantastic matches coming your way as the second Saturday rolls around in the Vanarama National League.

Of course it all begins at lunchtime where the BT Sport trucks roll into the Racecourse Ground to see if Wrexham or Boreham Wood will improve on their four point start.

There’s some good matches lined up at 3pm as the 100 per cent sides aim to make it three in a row.

Chesterfield have skipped two difficult challenges so far and will fancy making it a hat-trick of victories at home to Braintree Town.

Few had FC Halifax down to be flying so high but they take on a Maidstone side who have three-goal Blair Turgott in fine early season form.

Gateshead’s Luke Armstrong has also started the season well and six-point Heed welcome Dover, fresh from their point at Bromley.

The only other side with two wins are Solihull Moors and Tim Flowers’ team take on an Aldershot side who have yet to register a goal.

Barnet need to get a win on the board after two opening draws, they face Eastleigh at The Hive.

Leyton Orient welcome Barrow hoping for a repeat of the 4-1 thrashing they handed out in last year’s fixture.

Havant & Waterlooville and AFC Fylde haven’t secured a win between them so far. Will that change at West Leigh Park?

Bromley and Harrogate are the big entertainers to date. Their four games has seen 14 goals fly in - will there be more of the same for the fans to enjoy at Hayes Lane on Saturday?

Two sides also without victory meet as Hartlepool United and Ebbsfleet hope for lift off at Victoria Park.

Many were expecting Salford City to pick up more than one point from their two games. They could have probably done without a trip to Sutton United.

Dagenham and Maidenhead United have zero points between them. Something has to give in East London this weekend.
