The Tigers Get Their Claws On Some Added Investment

Things are certainly on the up for Gloucester City supporters at the moment.

Not only are their team performing better than this time last year, but their return to the city is getting closer with work on their new stadium progressing nicely.

Now it has been confirmed an ambitious new director has joined the club’s board of directors.

Alex Petheram, the Managing Director of Soldi Construction, will take his involvement with the National League South club further having sponsored the club at the start of the season.

Chairman Rod Jenner said: “It’s great that we’ve now got Alex joining as a director and also as a member of the management board.

“We have now got the right blend of people involved at the club to provide the business acumen and footballing direction with which to take the club forward.

“Alex’s can do attitude and positivity has really impressed me and I know the rest of the board are as excited as me to have the opportunity to work with him. There are very exciting times ahead for Gloucester City.”

Petheram said: “For me it was easy, coming from Gloucester and with my Dad still living locally it was a clear match. I love football and spend most evenings coaching or watching at some level.

“Gloucester City for me is club that has achieved so much in recent history, Rod is a great chairman with a clear goal and a massive heart. The club is going somewhere and like everything in life, now needs some new investment and blood to hopefully take the club to the next level.”
