For a slightly different look at the season so far, we’ve picked out some facts and figures from across the National League.
2.4 - Harrogate Town are the highest scorers across the three National League divisions. They’ve scored 64 times in 27 matches and they average just under 2.4 goals a game.
9 - The number of goals rampant AFC Fylde scored in just over 72 hours. On Saturday they stunned leaders Macclesfield Town, thrashing them 6-0. Then on Tuesday night, they beat Maidstone United 3-0. The Coasters are on a roll.
292.5 - North Ferriby United have found the back of the net just four times in their last 13 National League North fixtures. That’s 1,170 minutes of football and works out at a goal every 292.5 minutes.
1,080 - Maidstone United haven’t tasted victory in 12 National League matches. Their 3-0 defeat at Fylde on Tuesday night extended their winless run. It’s been 1,080 minutes on the pitch since the Stones were last victorious.
1 - Blyth Spartans have drawn just one game so far this season in the National League North - the fewest across our three divisions. It came last Saturday as they shared the points with FC United of Manchester following a goalless stalemate.
20 - Jon Parkin is the highest scorer in the National League divisions with 20 so far for York City. Stockport County’s Jason Oswell is just one behind him whilst East Thurrock’s Sam Higgins and Jason Gilchrist of Southport trail by two.
7,172 - The highest National League attendance so far this season was at Prenton Park on Saturday, October 7th to watch Tranmere Rovers against Chester. Unfortunately, they were treated to a goalless draw! Looks set to be beaten when Wrexham face Tranmere on Saturday.
125 - The lowest crowd recorded so far this season, meanwhile, came at Oxford City on Tuesday, September 12th. An attendance of 125 witnessed a six-goal thriller as both sides shared the spoils.
