The Injury-Ravaged Lions Capture A Very Big Presence!

Guiseley have bolstered their defensive options with the signing of towering defender Jo Cummings.

The Lions have secured the services of the 20-year-old on a month’s loan from Charlton Athletic.

Injuries have taken their toll on the squad with the National League North club needing to do a deal.

Based in Sheffield, Cummings can play closer to home and get vital first team experience in his time away from the League One side.

He comes in with Scott Garden expected to be put until January.

But as the centre-half joins, there has been a player exit.

“Whilst welcoming Jo to the squad we say goodbye to left-back Louie Swain, the 23 year-old former Bradford City player who sustained an injury in pre-season and hasn’t played a competitive game since joining in the summer from Harrogate Town,” the club said.

“Louie and Guiseley have mutually agreed to end his contract and the club wishes him well in the future.”
