The National League is delighted to announce the launch of the Vanarama Volunteer of the Month awards.

In partnership with The Fan Experience Company, three monthly winners will be chosen from each of the three divisions to recognise those unsung heroes across the 68 clubs in The National League.

The award winners for February will be revealed Friday afternoon, having been presented with their trophy by award sponsors Vanarama.

Winners of the overall Vanarama Volunteer of the Year for each division will be announced at The National League AGM at Celtic Manor in June.

Brian Barwick, Chairman of The National League, said: “The launch of the Vanarama Volunteer of the Month awards is a great way of showing appreciation of the valuable work many achieve through sheer commitment and loyalty to their clubs.

“It is right we should recognise the contribution of their professionalism and dedication despite many obstacles they often encounter.

“Long may they continue to give unstinting service and personally reflect in how they help the game in general.”

Steve Mark, Brand Director at Vanarama, said: “Vanarama are delighted to be working with The National league to reward some of the unsung heroes of Non-League Football and recognise their efforts.

“The volunteers up and down the country make it possible for the thousands of fans over the country to enjoy their football, giving up their time for their local community. Vanarama salutes you!”

Darren Young of The Fan Experience Company said: “As a company that works with leagues and clubs all over Europe at all steps, we understand and how crucial volunteers are to the club, wider community and the actual match day experience.

“It’s fantastic that The National League are recognising the vital contribution volunteers make in these areas and we’re delighted to be involved in the organisation of the award.

“We congratulate everyone who was nominated for February’s award. The calibre of nominees was simply phenomenal”.
