It was a free-scoring end to 2024 for the big winners as the year closed-out with plenty of nets bursting across the country.
Solihull Moors needed some of their main men to step up in December, and Andy Whing knew he could rely on Conor Wilkinson.
The club’s rollercoaster year continued last month but they welcomed in 2025 at one of their high points – starting the month in mid-table but ending the year mixing it with the play-off contenders once again.
It has been an impressive couple of months for Wilkinson, who could have won the POTM award in November if it wasn’t for Ollie Pearce’s brilliance.
He notched a goal in the match with Aldershot Town and hit braces against AFC Fylde and Tamworth, even if his effort against Bromley in the FA Cup was not enough to prevent their defeat.
But his six goals were put in the shade by Kwesi Appiah, the Boreham Wood man has been on the rampage for weeks.
The hitman struck eight times in six games in all competitions in December. Appiah is currently on 13 National League South goals for the season – far outperforming his xG of 7.3.
He scored three vs St Albans City and two against Chesham United and Enfield Town. He also notched in the home tie with Eastbourne Borough as his team battled through in the FA Trophy.
Wood started the month outside of the play-off places but ended it in second, just a point off the top. Appiah has already started the New Year like he ended the last one!
It was a 2024 full of mixed emotions for all Kidderminster Harriers supporters.
From relegation in April to very nearly topping the table at the very end of the calendar year, Amari Morgan-Smith has been a big part of the club’s recovery.
It’s a good time to be a Kidderminster fan again after Phil Brown said he was targeting an immediate return to the National League - and he’s been able to rely on his big players.
The Harriers won all three of their National League North games in December without conceding a single goal – they also advanced in the FA Trophy at the expense of higher-division AFC Fylde.
Morgan-Smith’s contribution stood out with three goals coming against Radcliffe, Hereford and at Fylde, as well as two important assists.
Congratulations to Conor, Kwesi and to Amari!
