The First Tuesday Night Sees Strong Starts Continue

The National League bulbs were back on for the first time in nearly four months and it shone a light on some early season progress.

Eastleigh got the job done early against Solihull Moors to make it three wins from three - and they're the last standing 100 per centers.

Jake Taylor and Paul McCallum scored within ten minutes to make sure their flying start continues.

Zak Brunt left it very late to win Barnet’s big game with free-scoring Forest Green Rovers.

Yeovil Town have settled in well back in the National League and edged past Ebbsfleet, who have now lost three in a row. Brett McGavin and Michael Smith pretty much made sure it was game over at half-time but Fleet had other ideas before the Glovers broke their hearts.

Charlie Waller did the job for Sutton at winless Wealdstone while Charley Kendall grabbed Woking their first points of the campaign after defeating Dagenham & Redbridge.

Maidenhead have also had a sticky start. James Jones won it for Altrincham while FC Halifax and Gateshead drew 1-1.

It ended the same way at Boundary Park, Manny Monthe earning a point for Oldham against AFC Fylde.

Hartlepool United ended Tamworth’s great home run - Joe Grey made it seven points from a possible nine for Darren Sarll’s side.

Boston United have had a rough first ten days and that continued at Southend United. Harry Cardwell and Gus Scott Morriss helped the Essex side to their first win.

Ryan Jones scored in the bottom corner for Aldershot at Braintree Town but the Iron bit back as two goals from winger Kyrell Lisbie grabbed their first victory.

Ricky Aguiar put York City ahead against Rochdale early on and that’s the way it stayed as the Minstermen start strongly.

The big early season game in the National League South lived up to expectation as Dorking and Boreham Wood played out a thriller.

Jason Prior’s double wasn’t enough as Cameron Coxe earned the visitors a point eight minutes from time.

Farnborough have started like they ended last season. It’s three on the spin and they are top as Richard Chin and Taylor Clark goals sent Eastbourne Borough home deflated.

Cody Cooke returned to haunt Bath City after he scored in the 2-1 win at Twerton Park,

Two goal Slavi Spasov starred for Slough Town in their easy 6-1 win at Enfield, Kweku Lucan also was on target twice.

Ryan Law scored for Truro City at Salisbury but it wasn’t enough for the win but it was three points for Chippenham, Weston and AFC Hornchurch.

Four sides are flawless in the National League North.

Buxton have started with a bang. Josh Popoola and Ethan Fitzhugh scored in the win over Darlington.

Ashley Hemmings grabbed another goal as Kidderminster sent Brackley packing while Curzon Ashton were thankful for Issac Sinclair - his winner downed Oxford City.

Danny Whitehall kept Scunthorpe United top as the left Needham Market late winner.

Chester recorded a much needed win as Charlie Caton grabbed a goal in the victory over Radcliffe. A first half blitz did the job for Farsly at Marine, Darren Stephenson among the scorers.

Gold Omotayo has also had a strong start to the season and found the net as King’s Lynn beat Rushall Olympic.

Montel Gibson scored for Hereford against Peterborough Sports but it wasn’t enough for victory as Glen Taylor’s double did damage to Southport as Spennymoor’s fine home form continues.
