The Festive Fixtures Start Here! All Of Saturday’s Action

Fetch the mince pies and reach for a glass of red, it’s almost time for the festive football to kick-off.

Everyone knows what that means - wall-to-wall National League football is about to start!

For many fans it’s the best time of the year and the Christmas period is packed full of derby dates and crucial games starts right here.

There’s some mammoth matches at the top coming your way over the new two weeks, so what’s the state of play?

Barnet are aiming to be top of the charts on December 25 and a win at home to FC Halifax will seal the no1 shot. The Shaymen scored four last time out at Aldershot but the Bees have won all-but one home match this season.

Many York City fans feel the festive fixtures will tell them a lot - they start it will a home game against Southend United.

Kevin Maher’s side have their work cut out. The Minstermen have scored 22 goals in their last five National League home matches and Ollie Pearce can’t stop finding the net.

Forest Green Rovers are in third and are also good at home. They welcome Aldershot Town, who don’t travel well.

Gateshead fans are happy to go under the radar, but the Heed are only six points off the pace. They head to bottom side Ebbsfleet.

Oldham Athletic have games in hand on every side and have been challenged to turn the temperature up with some huge festive fixtures. They can make a start at Braintree Town.

Rochdale climbed back up to sixth in midweek and now plan to get the better of Boston United, who find goals and points hard to come by on their travels.

Neal Ardley takes charge of Woking for the first time on Saturday and says he was attracted to the club because of the its new ambitious ownership structure.

He begins with a home match against Altrincham, who are determined to be in the play-offs at Christmas.

Yeovil Town will be ready to pounce if the seventh-place Robins slip, the Glovers are at Hartlepool, who are really tightening up defensively.

Solihull Moors took four points off AFC Fylde last season but are in danger of the Coasters doing the double over them this term - will Andy Whing’s side keep Nick Haughton quiet this time?

Maidenhead’s last away day saw them ship six at York City and they’ll hope for more solid foundations at Eastleigh.

Elsewhere there’s a London derby as Wealdstone host Dagenham & Redbridge as Tamworth travel south to Sutton United.
