The FA Cup Third Qualifying Round Draw Has Been Made

By Sam Elliott

The draw for the Third Qualifying Round of the FA Cup has this afternoon been made at Wembley Stadium.

Some fantastic ties have been thrown up ahead of the next round of the world famous competition on the weekend of October 1.

Kidderminster Harriers, heroes last year, will travel to National League South side Cheshunt next month.

Chelmsford City have a big derby date with Romford to look forward to.

Hereford head to Lewes or Three Bridges, while on-song Ebbsfleet United won't have things all their own way at Southern League side Hanwell Town.

There's an all-National League North tie as Curzon Ashton head to Scarborough Athletic.

Basford United will fancy at upset - they welcome Boston United.

The second qualifying round matches took place at the weekend with some shocks already served up.

No new teams enter at this stage of the competition, but the National League teams do come in the fourth qualifying round.

Winners will receive £5,625 from the prize fund, with defeated sides taking away £1,875 from the round.
