The FA Trophy may have borrowed a number of our players on Saturday but there was plenty of talent still to choose from.
We select the top 16 players from this weekend’s top flight games as we honour the best performers as the action continues to heat up.
Of course, we can’t be at every match - as much as we would love to be!
If you aren’t familiar with our process, we call on eyes and ears up and down the country to make sure our selection is as close to spot on as possible.
But it’s just not football if everyone agrees! Got a point to make? Then make sure you message us on twitter to get your voice heard @TheNationalLge
The National League Team of the Weekend:
Goalkeeper: Chris Dunn (Wrexham)
A number of fine saves in the end preserved a point for draw specialists Wrexham against fellow promotion contenders Aldershot.
Defender:
Adam Buxton (Tranmere)
Manager Micky Mellon praised the team’s power of recovery after the Macclesfield result and thanks to Buxton’s penalty and battling performance they went home happy.
Defender: Will Evans (Aldershot)
They may not have won in five but Aldershot are showing spirit. Evans was outstanding at Wrexham
Defender: Simon Grand (AFC Fylde)
The plaudits often go to Fylde’s creativity and frontmen but Grand and his fellow defenders put their bodies on the line against Dover Athletic.
Defender: Scott McManus (FC Halifax)
It’s been a good few days for FC Halifax - four points from two games and McManus held it all together against Eastleigh.
Midfielder: Danny Whitehead (Macclesfield)
Like his team he played until the very final whistle. Their late 1-0 win over Maidenhead showed character.
Midfielder: Craig Eastmond (Sutton United)
The U’s are looking the part again - Eastmond makes the team tick and they brushed Guiseley aside with ease.
Midfielder: Damon Lathrope (Woking)
The 28-year-old was having a great game until he sustained a broken leg. We wish him a speedy recovery.
Midfielder: Dean Rance (Ebbsfleet)
Scored the winning goal at Hartlepool to make it four wins in a row for the flying Fleet, but he had a lot more to his game than just scoring the goal.
Midfielder: Fejiri Okenabirhie (Dagenham)
He’s in sensational form and two more goals to add to the winger’s tally against Chester prove his value to John Still.
Striker: Scott Quigley (Wrexham)
Two more goals against the Shots shows he’s taken no time to settle. Could prove to be a key January addition by Dean Keates.
Substitutes:
Nathan Ashmore (Ebbsfleet)
Terell Thomas (Sutton United)
Jamie Turley (Boreham Wood)
Sam Matthews (Eastleigh)
Scott Wilson (Macclesfield)
