It was a brilliant weekend of action in the National League North so here’s our squad who deserve recognition for their efforts and we tell you why they’ve made the cut.

Goalkeeper: Tony Breeden (Leamington)
This was a tough one as he was one of two obvious choices to be in net, but two penalty saves and a clean sheet ensured he gets the nod.
Defence: Cieron Keane (Alfreton Town)
A solid display by the defender ensured Alfreton got back to winning ways, with a number of crucial interceptions being made by Keane.
Defence: Matthew Challoner (Chorley)
It was so nearly a clean sheet for the Magpies with the defender also putting in some good crosses during the game.
Defence: Michael Jacklin (Gainsborough Trinity)
Played his part in Trinity keeping a clean sheet and getting back to winning ways after an impressive home display.
Defence: Michael Liddle (Blyth Spartans)
A goal and a clean sheet helped ensure Liddle got selected.
Midfield: Damen Mullen (Blyth Spartans)
A win for Blyth with the midfielder nearly getting on the scoresheet and playing his part in their victory.
Midfield: George Thomson (Harrogate Town)
A wonder goal and a strong midfield display helped Town back to winning ways.
Midfield: James McQuilkin (Kidderminster Harriers)
On another day the midfielder could have scored a few times, he was unlucky not to get on the score sheet.
Midfield: Oli Johnson (Bradford Park Avenue)
A solid performance by Johnson included him playing a part and being the key difference in the two goals Avenue scored during their win.
Striker: Colby Bishop (Leamington)
Three goals and a fine display by the forward ensured he gets selected.
Striker: Jack Redshaw (Salford City)
A simple choice after his four goals during the second-half ensured Salford moved to seven points clear at the top of the table once again.
