Tamworth’s Extra Time Agony As 4th Round Draw Made

By Sam Elliott

It wasn’t to be Tamworth’s day after their extra time heartache but there is still National League interest as we await Dagenham & Redbridge's clash with Millwall tomorrow.

The Lambs were eventually defeated by Tottenham Hotspur, more than holding their own into the 101st minute of the match, the ball being turned in after a well-worked free-kick.

It was 2-0 when Dejan Kulusevski fired low into the corner of the net.

Andy Peaks was a proud man, despite Tamworth’s incredible journey coming to an end.

But not all hope is lost with Millwall standing between Dagenham & Redbridge and a place in the fourth round.

The Daggers make the short trip to the Den on Monday night, a game broadcast live on ITV4 with coverage starting at 6.45pm.

Their reward if they can get past the Championship side is a trip to Elland Road to face high-flying Leeds United.

The fourth round winners take home £120,000 from the FA’s prize pot.

The ties involving the final 32 sides will be played over the weekend of Saturday February 8.
