The manager has enjoyed incredible success at the Lamb, taking the club to back-to-back title wins and now they return to the top table for the first time since 2014.
But that doesn’t mean the club can start offering big contracts as they look to have another impressive year.
Peaks is more than happy with their approach and says he is thrilled with his business done so far this summer.
Haydn Hollis last week arrived to add more steel to their backline and the Lambs boss is happy so many of his title winners have vowed to return but knows the challenges he faces when it comes to recruitment.
“I am absolutely delighted with the players who have recommitted to the club, and those we have brought in,” he told fans in a fresh update on the club’s website this weekend.
“To be a part-time club in a full-time league is really difficult when you consider some of the wages that are being paid at this level. It is difficult to compete with some of the money that is being asked for, especially for an experienced striker.
“We have to be realistic that we don't have the budget to go and pay for three or four top quality National League players, but with the players we have got I think they give us a good chance of competing in the new season.”
He went on to tell supporters he has a new forward in mind and added: “I’m delighted that, despite higher offers from a number of clubs, a large proportion of players from last season have returned to Tamworth.
“This shows that they want to do well for the club, and that is exactly the mentality I expect from players in the changing room. But I am still on the look out for another striker who we can add to the squad."
