The Vanarama National League North fixtures have now been released with Tamworth boss looking ahead to the games they will play, writes Tom Feaheny.
The Lambs start their campaign at home to Bradford Park Avenue and finish away at Gainsborough Trinity.
Morrell picked out the games that he is looking forward to most.
"I like the local derbys as there are normally good atmospheres like Kidderminster, Nuneaton, Telford also the big boys like Salford and York."
This season teams that finish sixth and seventh will also have the chance of going up via the Vanarama National League North play-offs and Morrell believes plenty have what it takes to fight for a place.
"I see the league being ultra competitive this year. Some big teams and budgets but would also see another 14 teams thinking they have a chance of the playoffs so you have to hit every game hard and try and get something out of it."
Tamworth last season finished ninth in the table, with aims this season that they can get into the top seven places. Morrell says he is pleased with how pre-season has started.
"I'm really pleased with the lads we have kept from last season and added some real quality to that. We still have a bit of work to do but at this point we are ok.
"Training wise all lads in these leagues are fitter than they were, so preseason is just about strengthening players fitness and getting them game ready, so playing games and the right types of games ,is the key."
One player who will not be with the club this season is Danny Newton, last season he was a stand-out player for the club, but has since joined Stevenage. Morrell says he is delighted for the forward to be making a move to the League Two club.
"He has worked hard at his game and is a real pest. His attitude is great and we believe we have made him a better player whilst he has been with us and this is reward to all involved. I really hope he kicks on and scores plenty of goals, league two defenders don't know what's coming."
