But he revealed on the club’s video service: “I had a little look around for the second penalty to see if anyone wanted it.
“I don’t like to take two in one game but there wasn’t, so I took it again and thankfully scored.”
The win secured a National League North Eliminator at Altrincham on Wednesday for the very much in-form Spartans.
“It doesn’t matter who we play, they are one off games and anything can happen,” he added.
“If you get that little bit of luck, you’ll be in the next game. But we know Altrincham are a good side.
“We have been really relaxed out the whole situation. We have been outsiders for so long.”
