Back to back wins has seen City move back into the play-off places, after they came back from a goal down to defeat Poole Town 2-1, writes Tom Feaheny.
"The conditions made it difficult for both teams, it was a competent second-half, we looked very good," Stringer told the club's website.
"We got the two goals, very clinical we needed that, we changed shape but kept control of the game.
"The substitutions were excellent, they made a difference, kept us going on the front foot.
"The key was not panicking, we created good chances in the first-half but didn't take them, sometimes if you play too long too quick, the chances go.
"We knew we had to be brave on the ball, get in the areas and take the chances."
They are next up against Whitehawk who despite being 13 points off safety have picked up some impressive result as of late, Stringer knows what to expect.
"They are a tough team, the form guide will tell you they are a good side, I think that game will be tougher than this one."
