The Stones came unstuck 3-0 to the Gulls at the Vale after what he called a bad day at the office.
Wilkinson’s men have another quick turn around and tonight welcome the Tigers to west London.
The manager refused to over-react despite being outplayed at home to a promotion rival and says that loss is easily remedied.
“They were better than us, I’ll always hold my hands up,” he said.
“They deserved the win and we didn’t play well enough. It’s as simple as that.
“I have told the boys they have been fantastic this season until now - I’m not going to starting moaning at them after one bad game.
“Monday is very important now. We’ve got a great bunch and we’ll stay together but if we can win this one then Saturday will be very quickly forgotten about.”
He added: “They know how to bounce back and we know it’s a massive match in our season.
“If we win this game we can go in and be higher than what we were at the start of the weekend.”
