Stone The Crows! Robinson Leaves Ambitious Billericay

There has been a shock transfer tonight as National League South top scorer Jake Robinson leaves Billericay Town.

The free-scoring forward has joined Maidstone United, it has been announced.

Robinson links up with former Blues manager Harry Wheeler at the Gallagher Stadium.

The Stones boss says he has finally managed to get his man after giving the club’s survival bid a massive boost.

Maidstone have also signed towering central defender Charlie Wassmer on a month long loan deal from Woking.

Wheeler to the club’s official website: “Jake is somebody I have wanted to sign since I have been here.

“We have worked relentlessly to get him to sign for the club.

“There was a lot of interest in him so to get it over the line is a massive credit to the club.

“He is a natural goalscorer with over 100 goals in two and a half years.”
