Stone Still Won't Give Up Despite Six Point Gap To Safety

Despite a difficult first game in charge, the returning manager thinks they have enough to survive.

A 3-0 defeat to Leyton Orient was never going to settle the rest of their season he says - and called on the fans to continue to back the club as they battle for survival.

He wants more and says he can’t question his team’s workrate even though they are six points off the pace.

“It was never going to be the ideal first game away to the league leaders,” he said.

“But just because we lost it doesn’t change our outlook. If we can improve in a few areas then we’ve got a chance.

“The fans have been right behind us and we’re going to need them every week in the final three months.

“Can we get a run together? I think we can and we certainly don’t think anything is done and dusted yet.

“We’ve keep believing. We know it’s a big challenge but nothing is decided in January.”
