Still's Not Upset But Daggers' Dropped Points

John Still didn’t see Dagenham’s draw at Maidenhead as two points dropped - but knows his side really must start converting their chances.

The Daggers are sixth - five points behind leaders Dover Athletic - but they couldn’t build on the toppling of league leaders Macclesfield in their last outing.

Still’s team were on top against the Magpies but couldn’t make the most of their superiority. Watch Match Highlights Here.

Michael Cheek’s goal in the second half drew the London club level after 27-year-old Remy Clerima’s first ever goal for Alan Devonshire’s side got things up and running at York Road.

The manager was “frustrated” to come away with just a point but say enough from his players to be happy with their afternoon’s work.

He said: “I thought we were in control of the game and had most of it. We’re not down about it, but we know maybe it’s a game we should have taken more from.

“That said Alan Devonshire sides don’t just let you leave with three points, to win at places like Maidenhead United requires a lot. They defended well and deeply, they make life difficult and you know what you’re getting when you play a Dev side.

“It’s not two points dropped. Once we scored it was a case of us trying to get another and if it would come but it didn’t quite.

“Maidenhead’s goal maybe we could have done a little better with but I think it’s been deflected in. We need to take our chances a bit better than we have been.”
