Stanley Loaned to Port

Midfielder Craig Stanley has joined Southport on a month`s loan from Vanarama National League rivals Lincoln City.

A veteran of the Football League and National League, Stanley has a wealth of experience at a number of clubs.

Highlights of his playing career include 174 appearances for Morecambe, achieving promotion to the Football League with Hereford United and captaining England C to European Challenge Trophy victory over the Netherlands.

Stanley has also spent time at Eastleigh, Aldershot Town - where he captained the side - Bristol Rovers, Torquay United, AFC Telford United and Scottish side Raith Rovers.

Stanley, who has yet to appear for the Imps this season, will be hoping to get some valuable playing time under his belt whilst with the Sandgrounders, and will be available for selection for Saturday’s game against unbeaten leaders Tranmere Rovers.
