Spitfires Give Their Supporters A Helping Hand

Eastleigh fans have had two bits of good news - the club thrashed Alton Town 9-0 last night and they will recieve cheap travel to away games next season.

The Spitfires fans will be able to board a coach to their first three away games for just £10.

It’s part of chairman Stewart Donald’s commitment to keep prices down for the club’s fans and boost the club’s support on the road.

“We are delighted to announce that subsidised travel will again be in place for the 2017/18 season,” they confirmed.

“Whilst last season was below expectation on the field, we saw an increased number of supporters following the team. As part of the clubs ethos to keep football affordable this also applies to following the team away from home.

“We would like to see as many fans as possible attend away games.”

Any fan that did make the trip to Alton Town last night will be tempted to join the bus once the season starts.

Richard Hill’s team won 9-0 and he tweeted: “We would like to thank Alton for playing us at short notice. It was good for the players to get some minutes on the surface. We can only try to prepare.”
