Spireites Send Out A Clear Message On Day Of Big Wins

Chesterfield sent out a very clear message as the leaders thumped title rivals Barnet - and it wasn’t the only big result.

Armando Dobra, Will Grigg, Michael Jacobs and Joe Quigley got the goals as the front runners eased to the 4-2 victory. It was more comfortable than it looked with two late Bees goals.

Gateshead stormed back into form, hitting Dorking Wanderers for six. Billy Chadwick grabbed a stunning hat-trick.

Aldershot Town won again, Josh Stokes’ goal enough to see to Kidderminster Harriers and keep them happily placed in the top seven.

In the live game, Josh Kelly continued his great season as Solihull Moors turned it around at Dagenham to climb to third. Jay Benn superbly levelled just before the break after Tom Eastman had the hosts deservedly in front.

Woking’s problem continue after they lost 3-2 at Oxford City. What turned out to be the winner was scored by Josh Parker.

Altrincham put the seal on another win late on, downing Southend United 2-0 as Eastleigh and Oldham drew 1-1.

On form Erico Sousa grabbed a great point for ten man Boreham Wood against Bromley.

Scott Burgess and Ryan Fallowfield got on the scoresheet as York City eased to a win at struggling AFC Fylde.

Jack Cook’s double - the second a 95th minute winner - earned Wealdstone a dramatic three points against Rochdale, who were twice in front in north west London.

Dom Samuel scored five minutes into time added on to snatch a 2-2 draw for Ebbsfleet United at Hartlepool. Kane Ferdinand’s first half goal gave Maidenhead United a second win in a row as they left FC Halifax deflated.

Yeovil Town made it a club record 13 wins in a row as they defeated Dover Athletic 2-0.

They keep their noses in front in the National League South after Sonny Cox’s second half brace.

Cody Cooke went one better with three as Bath City defeat Aveley in the day’s big game.

Mason Bloomfield also hit a hat-trick as Hampton beat Maidstone United 5-2 to keep their incredible run going.
Bradley Ash made sure as Torquay United defeated Havant & Waterlooville 2-0.

Tonbridge Angels produced a stunning comeback to win at St Albans - Jordan Greenidge got two goals as they came back from the dead.

Elsewhere it was a great days for Eastbourne and Welling United, who hit Slough Town with a late winner in a 4-3 thriller. Taylor Curran got the goal.

Tamworth have been toppled in the National League North.

Banbury’s Simone Maye’s goal made it three loses in a row for the leaders as Scunthorpe United take over at the top after they win for a fourth game in a row. Jacob Butterfield and Danny Whitehall scored to condemn Gloucester City.

South Shields blew the chance to go top, losing 1-0 at Southport - Declan Evans’ penalty enough for the win for Jim Bentley's men.

Chester’s excellent run is over after Darlington dug in for a fantastic 3-2 victory. Will Hayhurst struck the winner as Curzon Ashton beat Bishop’s Stortford 1-0.

William Harris helped Spennymoor to a narrow win at King’s Lynn Town.

Justin Johnson scored again as Chorley maintain a play-off place by defeating in-form Peterborough Sports.

Jimmy Knowles was the Boston United hero once again, they got the better of Hereford, as Scarborough left Alfreton 3-1 winners. Luca Colville made the points safe.

Elsewhere Farsley Celtic beat Buxton and as Jordan Buckley’s 90th minute goal handed victory to Warrington against Rushall Olympic.
