Spireites Looking Sharp On Another Action Packed Evening

Chesterfield were in no mood to give up the top spot they have held for six weeks - and it was a night to remember.

They strolled to a 4-0 win over York City as Solihull Moors almost stunned Barnet at the Hive, Idris Kanu grabbing a 97th minute leveller.

Paul Cook’s side blitzed the Minstermen in the second half with goals from Ollie Banks, Tom Naylor and a Will Grigg double.

Bromley win at home for the eighth game running - Corey Whiteley got the winner to break Dorking hearts in the 95th minute at Hayes Lane.

Southend United are firing. They defeated Ebbsfleet United 3-0 and their fans are dreaming of a play-off push.

It was a night to forget for Oldham Athletic who were well beaten at AFC Fylde. Jon Ustabasi made the game safe for the strugglers.

Boreham Wood manager Luke Garrard has asked for more from his side and they listened - a 3-1 win at Dagenham was secured Billy Sass-Davies, Lee Ndlovu and Erico Sousa all scored.

Aldershot came from 2-0 down to defeat Maidenhead United while Dennon Lewis hit a much needed winner for Woking at Eastleigh.

Kenton Richardson scored a leveller for Gateshead as they pegged Rochdale back, 2-2 it ended. Adam Senior’s winner for FC Halifax added to Hartlepool’s woes.

Lewis Banks’ leveller handed Altrincham a point against Kidderminster. Wealdstone beat fellow part timers Oxford City 3-1 to move up to 15th. Sam Bowen scored twice after Kyle Smith responded to Josh Parker’s superb opener at Grosvenor Vale.

A record attendance watched Yeovil Town stretch their legs at the top of the National League South.

A crowd of 6,289 saw the Glovers defeat rivals Weymouth 2-0 - the goals came from Jordan Young and Jake Hyde.

Scott Wilson scored again as Bath City defeated promotion rivals Taunton Town 3-0.

Hampton & RB win for a fourth game in a row. Ben Seymour scored twice as they thrashed Worthing 4-1.

It was the same scoreline as Farnborough eased to the points against Tonbridge, Olly Pendlebury hit two goals for Spencer Day’s Boro.

There was also a deadly double for Reuben Reid as Weston-super-Mare derailed Torquay United’s recovery. The Seagulls won 2-1.

Elsewhere it was a winning night for Braintree Town and St Albans as the Kent derby between Maidstone United and Welling United failed to spark as it ended without a goal.

Scunthorpe United obliterated title rivals Spennymoor Town 6-0 to underline the National League North’s intense title race.

Connor Smith scored twice as the Iron upped the heat but leaders Tamworth kept their cool as Ty Deacon earned a 1-0 win over Gloucester City.

Two sides at the top slipped up. Brackley Town went down 1-0 at home to Rushall Olympic as Danny Waldren scored again. South Shields went down 2-1 at Chorley, who responded to their weekend hiding with a huge three points.

Chester win for a fourth league game in a row - George Glendon and Elliott Whitehouse downed Southport at Haig Avenue.

Elsewhere it was a great evening for Alfreton, Banbury United, Scarborough and King’s Lynn Town who won the big game at the bottom 3-2 against Bishop’s Stortford.
