The Coasters have found the net no fewer than ten times in their last three matches.
But Sheridan’s new side aren’t as exposed as they once were - they have kept four clean sheets since he took over after leaving Carlisle United last month.
They are yet to concede in the National League since he was given the job and he doesn’t want to start on Saturday.
So will it be Fylde’s attacking force who come out on top on Saturday at Mill Farm or can Chesterfield continue their stingy defensive displays?
Sheridan spoke to the club’s official website and said: “We’re very wary of them, they’ve got some good players, but I try and focus on my side and I will try and instill to the players how well they’ve done for me.
“Fylde are a good team, they’ve done well over a three-year period.
“They’re winning games on a regular basis and they’re up there competing to get out the league.
“It’s important we go into that match with the mindset that we have a good chance. I’d like us to be a bit more positive in front of goal, but we create chances and we should score more goals.”
He added: “We’re going to try and win the game.
“I do respect Fylde they’re having a very good season, but I want us to put our own stamp on the game if we can.”
