Supporters group Trust In Yellow got the idea off the ground and fans were generous against Salford City and Darlington recently.
A spokesman said: "Trust in Yellow would like to thank the generosity of supporters for the donations for Liam Martin following his injury against FC United last month.
"Donations taken online and at the recent matches at Salford and against Darlington have raised £630.91.
"The board of directors have made the kind gesture of offering to match the money raised. Liam will be presented with a cheque for £1261.82 at the game against Kidderminster at The Merseyrail Community Stadium on 9th September by young supporters.
"On behalf of everyone at Southport Football Club and Trust in Yellow, we wish Liam a speedy recovery and hope to see him in a yellow shirt soon."
