Southend Pair Return to Clarets

Vanarama National League South club Chelmsford City have confirmed...

...the signing of two loan players from Sky Bet League Two side Southend United.

Interim manager Kevin Maher has used his contacts as Southend’s under-21’s manager to call on the services of Jack Bridge and Jason Williams for a month, with both players having previously been on loan at the Melbourne Community Stadium.

Williams, who was on loan during November and December of the 2014/15 campaign, enjoyed a prolific period with the Clarets and netted an impressive 6 goals in eight appearances.

Following his loan with the Clarets the striker also teamed up with Welling United, scoring twice in seven matches in the National League.

Bridge, meanwhile, notched two assists in nine games from the left-flank last season and added a creative spark that the Clarets need to record a first home win since mid-September when they face Whitehawk today.
