Some Boxing Day Blockbusters Light Up National League

It was business as usual for the teams at the top on a Boxing Day bonanza as BT Sport viewers were treated to some very late telly drama between two big play-off rivals.

There were three red cards and a 95th minute long-range Barnet winner from Ryan De Havilland as they bit Boreham Wood deep into time added on.

It’s as you were at the summit after Notts County’s first half power-show swept aside struggling Oldham Athletic.

Cedwyn Scott took the goalscoring acclaim this week as the leaders eased to a 4-1 win.

Elsewhere there were big wins for Chippenham, Slough Town, Taunton Town and Cheshunt.

Things are seriously close in the National League North - now just three points separate the top five.

Scarborough’s comeback stunned leaders Darlington Michael Coulson scored the winner with three minutes left as the Seadogs up the heat.

Darlo stay top after Brackley were denied late by Henry Landers and Banbury, 1-1 it ended.

King’s Lynn won 2-0 at Boston United, Oliver Scott making sure of the points late on.

Chester couldn’t win as they and AFC Telford fired blanks. Jack Bearne made it a happy Christmas for Kidderminster fans as they left Hereford with a 1-0 win.

Rob Ramshaw scored twice as Spennymoor Town left Blyth Spartans with three goals and three points.

Elsewhere there were great festive win for Chorley at AFC Fylde, sealed by Jonathan Ustabasi.

Elsewhere, Kettering beat Peterborough Sports 2-1 and Alfreton Town were too strong at home to Buxton.
