In the end, three crucial points went to Moors at the Automated Technology Group Stadium to move them level on points with twentieth-placed Hartlepool United.
The home side made a good start to the only game at the top level of the non-League game and the lively Kwame Thomas came close to opening the scoring early on, but his effort was cleared off the line.
Thomas managed to beat Bromley `keeper David Gregory in the 13th minute – and this time there was no-one there to prevent his close-range shot from a Darren Carter free-kick.
Bromley had a disappointing evening, attacking-wise, although Brandon Hanlan did force Moors` keeper Max O`Leary into one decent save in the second period.
But there was always that threat of an equaliser for home fans, so it came as a massive relied when, 4 minutes into time added on at the end of the game, Solihull put the game to bed when sub Alex Reid got hold of a poor pass back to Gregory to lob the stranded keeper and make it 2-0.
