Solihull Bring In Yussuf Following His Release From Barrow

Solihull Moors have announced the signing of striker Adi Yussuf on an eighteen-month deal and is eligible to play on Saturday at Dagenham & Redbridge.

The 6`1” Leicester-based striker was born in Zanzibar, Tanzania in 1992, and started his career in the youth and reserve teams at Leicester City before signing for then-League Two Burton Albion in 2012.

He had a spell with National League Lincoln City before a season with Oxford City.
It was with Oxford that he career really took off as he hit 29 goals for City, two of which condemned Moors to a 3-2 defeat early in the 2014/15 season.

That experience landed Yussuf with a contract with Mansfield Town and a return to the Football league.

He joined Grimsby Town in January 2017 as the strike partner to Omar Bogle and moved onto Barrow AFC for the start of the current campaign.

He played twenty-two times for the Bluebirds, netting 6 goals and came on as a substitute when Moors last visited the Furness Building Society Stadium.

Yussuf was called up for the Tanzanian national squad in 2015.
