Snow Hits The Day’s National League Programme

By Steve Whitney

It has been a difficult morning for clubs, players and fans with a number of matches falling as we count the cost of the poor conditions.

The Vanarama National League North match between Boston United and Southport has been postponed due to a frozen pitch at the Jakemans Stadium.

This follows a pitch inspection by a local referee - and consultation with the match referee.

Today's National League match between Gateshead and Woking has been postponed following a pitch inspection this morning.

Blyth Spartans versus Alfreton Town has also fallen foul of a frozen pitch at Croft Park.

Chorley v Kidderminster Harriers has also been postponed due to a frozen surface at Victory Park.

AFC Telford United v York City at the New Bucks Head has gone after conditions didn’t improve.

Bradford Park Avenue against Tamworth at the Horsfall Stadium and Darlington’s big game with Salford City at Blackwell Meadows has also suffered.

It’s not been a nice morning in the National League North and half an hour ago Nuneaton Town v Harrogate Town, North Ferriby United v Curzon Ashton and Leamington v Gainsborough Trinity was called off.
