Smith Says Sorry To Fans For Bromley’s Solihull Shambles

Bromley manager Neil Smith said sorry to his club’s supporters after they watched their team crumble at Solihull Moors.

The Ravens slipped to a 5-0 defeat with the game over at half-time.

The hammering was Bromley’s fourth National League loss in a row.

Smith has demanded a response from his out-of-sorts side and he said the first half was a low point in his managerial career.

“That was the worst it has been since I came to the club,” he said to the club’s YouTube service after the game.

“I’m embarrassed and I have to apologise to the supporters.

“We showed a little bit of guile in the second half but it was done before half-time. I must say sorry on behalf of the players.

“That is not a Bromley side that I have been putting out. We had a couple of chances but we were undone by some bad defending.

“As a group of men we need to come back and make sure that never happens again.

“I can’t paper over the cracks. That wasn’t a Bromley side. We are better than that.

“Maybe we need to sit down and discuss a couple of things because we can’t allow for that to ever happen again.”
