Smith Says Respect Due To Bromley Players

Bromley’s back-from-the-dead point at Maidenhead owed a lot to Lady Luck accepted their delighted manager.

Neil Smith knows his team had some good fortune after salvaging a 2-2 draw having been 2-0 down going into the 91st minute.

But two goals inside injury time sealed a very unlikely point for the Ravens.

Smith knows it owed a lot to the rub of the green but says you can’t hide his players’ spirit.

He said: “Perhaps if we are being totally honest we did get lucky.

“Scoring twice like we did when we did, you need to have things go your way. It was certainly dramatic.

“But let’s give the boys a bit of credit as it’s certainly due.

“We also came from 2-0 to get a point at Wrexham so their belief is incredible it’s got to be said.

“We don’t know when we’re beaten and that is a really great thing.”
