Smith Says Comeback Win Showed Spirit In The Group

By Tom Feaheny

Neil Smith praised his Bromley side after their 2-1 victory away at Gateshead that saw them score twice after going a goal down.

Two goals in the last ten minutes of the game ensured Bromley's trip back down South was even sweeter thanks to an injury time winner by Brett Williams, writes Tom Feaheny.

The Ravens climbed the Vanarama National League table and our now in the play-off places in seventh.

"We probably played better against Tranmere and left with nothing, we went a goal down and had to make changes, the penalty brought us back in but we wanted and went for the win," said Smith to the club's website..

"It was such a tough game for us, to leave our last two games with maximum points is a great total to have."

"We know we will have to improve based on that performance but again sometimes it is all about getting the win."

They next take on Dover Athletic in the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup, with Smith knowing how tough the game will be.

"We will be working hard all week, we know how important a cup run would be for everyone at the club and the fans, we know that away to Dover will be difficult but the lads are up for it."
