Not only did the midfielder pop up to level in time added on against Wrexham last Saturday at the Proact.
But the on-loan Stevenage man did exactly the same at Sutton United on Tuesday night with Chesterfield - and Smith - seemingly not knowing when they are beaten anymore.
Manager Allen has been quick to praise the unlikely stoppage time hero but what he really wants is to turn one point into three.
It’s still no National League win since the third game of the season and while being six unbeaten is big news, Allen wants them to “cross the line” at Harrogate on Saturday.
"He's a good player,” said Allen. “He hadn't been playing at his previous club so I knew it was going to take him a bit of time to get up to first-team speed.
“He's looking fitter and he's looking faster."
He added: “We've managed over the last five weeks to turn things around. I think we're moving in the right direction, slowly.
"It's not going to be a click of my fingers to change all this round, but I think everybody could say there's progress being made.
"We're starting to get a bit of identity now.”
