Smith says the clash against the side in the relegation places is the perfect chance for Wrexham to potentially go top of the table, writes Tom Feaheny.
Wrexham have so far conceded just five goals in ten games and he paid credit to the rest of the defence, he told the club's website.
"We aim for a clean sheet every game. We always aim to keep the back door shut and build from there because if we do keep clean sheets then all we need is half a chance and the goals will come."
Ahead of the match, Smith said Paul Cox coming into Guiseley does make them a more difficult challenge.
"With Guiseley getting a new manager in all the players will want to impress and want to play. Every one of their players will raise their game, especially with them coming to the Racecourse.
"It's a chance for Guiseley to put on a performance in front of so many people. The Racecourse is a place to shine. So everyone tends to raise their game to try and beat the Wrexham's of the league. We just have to keep believing and picking up points"
