Slovakia V England C Preview

By Tom Feaheny

Paul Fairclough's side International Challenge Trophy Final against Slovakia's under 21s at 4PM today.

The 16-man England C squad that has been changed a few times due to injuries has 13 players who potentially will get their first cap later today, writes Tom Feaheny.

The match takes place at the Ziar nad Hronom stadium with the ground holding a capacity 2,200.

Aldershot Town's Jake Gallagher who has the most England C caps in the group with seven is expected to captain the side.

Solihull Moors forward Oladapo Afolaya, Bromley's Dan Johnson and Blyth defender Andrew Cartwright were all given call-ups this weekend due to injuries.

The Slovakians have twice beaten England C in recent seasons, including the last time these two sides met at Sutton United's Gander Green Lane when Michal Fasko fired in the 97th-minute to give the visitors a 4-3 win two years ago.

England C progressed to the final after a 2-1 win over Estonia U23s in Tallinn last November.
