The move follows the exit of first-team coach Alex Meechan, sports therapist Dan Anderton and strength & conditioning coach Paddy Maher on Sunday as part of the support staff restructuring.
The new structure which features more experience at National League level, sees former Macclesfield Town and Lincoln City boss Gary Simpson, 54, join the club as assistant-manager.
A familiar face is returning to the club to take up the position of club chartered physiotherapist.
Sean Riley, 49, who left after four years in the summer when the club reverted to full-time status, comes back after a short stint with National League North outfit Stockport County.
Chairman Paul Casson said: “It’s sad to have to move people on, but we all believe that this is the best way forward as we strive to bring Football League Soccer back to Barrow.”
