Shots Get On Their Bike To Help Children In Need

Aldershot Town are joining Aspire Defence Services in cycling into history this month – all in aid of Children in Need!

Aldershot Garrison Sports Centre will host an official Guinness World Record attempt from noon on Thursday, 16th November for Most Electrical Energy Produced by Pedalling on Static Bicycles for 24 Hours.

Manager Gary Waddock plus his players and all of the club’s office staff will be participating in the attempt which has set a target of 72,000 watts.

The event is open to anyone over the age of 16 and your support will help raise money for Children in Need. By volunteering you will have the opportunity to ride one of 40 bikes used by British Cycling. The bikes have console displays recording the wattage being generated and scrutineers will be on hand to verify the record.

A live DJ will be on hand to provide musical inspiration, and sports massages will be available to soothe aching legs, in return for a donation to Children in Need!
