The Shots played some superb football at promotion rivals Wrexham on Saturday but two lapses in concentration allowed the Dragons to take the lead twice.
Aldershot did fight back both times to pick up a valuable point but were left questioning how they hadn’t left north Wales with all three.
The draw at the Racecourse Ground followed a defeat and draw at home against Macclesfield and Bromley respectively.
And Evans knows mistakes need to be cut out as we approach the business end of the season.
“On the possession side, we totally dominated the game but silly mistakes from us cost us the three points,” the central defender said.
“We had a few clear-cut opportunities early on and could have been two up but we don’t take our chances and then go 1-0 down.
“We were left chasing the game twice and that’s difficult against a side like Wrexham with how much experience they have.
“Against Macclesfield, I got sent off after three minutes and we still had a few chances to get something out of the game.
“And then we went 1-0 down against Bromley as well. We seem to be constantly chasing games at the moment which isn’t ideal. We’ve got a very tight-knit group, though, and everybody is fighting for the cause.”
