Shots Aiming For More Away Day Joy

By David Richardson

Aldershot Town are hoping for a third consecutive away win at eighth-placed Macclesfield Town tomorrow.

The Shots were knocked off top spot a week ago but have started this campaign in fine form after defeat in the play-offs last season.

Leyton Orient came back from two goals down to take a point at Aldershot last season, leaving the door open for Sutton United to lead the way.

Manager Gary Waddock had no complaints with a point though and hopes their good away from can continue.

"We're all disappointed because we had such a good start against Orient," he said. "But when you reflect back on the game, they played very well second half. All in all it was a fair result and a point gained.

"Macclesfield is always a difficult place to go to. They're a good side with a good manager so it will be a tough task. They're always well organised and we have to go up there do what we've been doing away.

"We're always striving for better and looking to improve but it's pleasing we've done well on the road."
