The Spireites head to Barnet this evening for an important National League fixture.
Victory in north London would fire the club four points above the bottom four and make it a fantastic start under the former Carlisle United and Plymouth boss.
But they endured a set-back at home to Harrogate - failing to score against a side who haven’t kept a clean sheet since October as they went down 1-0 at the Proact.
Now the message from Sheridan is simple.
"Don't dwell on Saturday,” said the manager , who replaced Martin Allen in January, on the club’s official website.
“We have to forget about Harrogate now. I prefer a game coming quickly when you've had a result you don't want.
“I think it's the best way to come back."
There’s an extra reward on offer for three points at the Hive on Tuesday night.
"If we beat them we go above them so that is our aim,” Sheridan added.
“It's a very inconsistent league and anything can happen.
“They're a team in and around us and they're a good team. I watched Barnet when they played Sheffield United and they've got some quick and talented players.”
