As the divisions really start to take shape, only they can impact how the tables look and our select panel left no stone unturned as they assessed the data to make sure it’s the right people holding the awards.
Few could argue Kairo Mitchell has been sensational so far this season and last month he really stepped up to keep Rochdale in an early promotion position.
He contributed to seven of the club’s 12 goals scored in September, and only AFC Fylde forward Nick Haughton has more involvements this campaign.
The in-form 26-year-old scored against Aldershot Town in the live DAZN game, hit two against Maidenhead United and added to his tally against Solihull Moors, Eastleigh, Hartlepool United and Braintree Town.
Mitchell struck 14 goals last season in what was his career-best goalscoring return – and he’s on track to smash that this time around.
Who doesn’t love a free-scoring midfielder?
With forwards, you could argue it’s in the job description but a man in the middle of the park who can find the net with regular rhythm is worth his weight in gold.
Just ask Spennymoor Town fans, who watched Issac Fletcher score five times last month to take his incredible season tally to eight already.
He hit the net twice against Radcliffe, and was on the mark in important matches with Chorley and Warrington Town.
Without his goals Spennymoor would be three points worse off, which would have them languishing at the bottom end of the National League North table.
They may not be in the FA Cup either after his goal against Morpeth saved the day.
It’s a new era at Hampton & Richmond with the club under new leadership on and off the pitch.
It hasn’t gone totally to plan so far but the direction of travel is encouraging under legendary goalkeeper Alan Julian and it seems well-travelled striker James Roberts is putting down roots.
Roberts had a fine month for the Beavers after their unbeaten September in the National League South.
Roberts played every minute of every league game and scored four times, including a superb hat-trick against Enfield Town in their 4-0 rout of the newly-promoted side.
He also notched one against Tonbridge Angels and another in their FA Cup defeat to Maidstone United.
Those there on that afternoon against Enfield witnessed his first-ever senior treble and the fans down in south west London hope it’s the first of many.
Well done to our three fantastic winners!
