Marc McGregor will be in the Netherlands concluding an FA coaching course and won't be back for the club's visit to Hertfordshire tomorrow.
McGregor, who also didn't attend Monday's defeat at Hungerford Town, is in Holland with his club's blessing.
But the Seagulls need the points from their trip to Clarence Park.
Defeat in their first two games has them playing catch up in the Vanarama National League South.
St Albans, by contrast, have won both of their league games and are looking to keep pace at the top of the table.
A club statement confirmed backing for their absent manager.
It read: “This is a great opportunity for Marc, as well as for Weston, to see first hand teams which believe in playing great football, while developing players.
“This will slightly impact his duties over the 10 days however both Rob Boyd and Ian Harris are stepping in to take the reins in Marc's absence.
“The board were aware of this great opportunity when they appointed him and fully back him in his development which can only benefit the club in the longer term.”
